Indivisible Cobb is joining forces with other north Georgia progressive groups this Saturday, December 13, to let Representative Barry Loudermilk know we aren’t buying his “defending the Constitution” tagline. Organizations which will be participating in this rally alongside Indivisible Cobb include Indivisible groups from Woodstock CAN, Cherokee County, as well as 50501 Georgia and Cobb DSA.

Let's work together to make Christmas a bit brighter for some Cobb County families

Dramatic temperature drops this week remind us that, for some Cobb County residents, a warm winter coat becomes a must-have. And with cuts in federal aid dollars and social service programs, as well as escalating healthcare and food costs, the prospect of an empty Christmas stocking is very real for many of our neighbors’ children.

Indivisible Cobb wants to change that for at least some local families.

At a time when some of our Latino neighbors in Cobb County are increasingly concerned about indiscriminate ICE detentions and their safety, Indivisible Cobb, working alongside the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (GLAHR), is distributing baskets of complete holiday meal ingredients to 18 Cobb families.

Veterans Day Reminds Us Government Must Support These Patriots Despite D.C. Shutdown
​
More than 37,000 Veteran’s Administration employees are currently furloughed due the federal government shutdown. Services such as outreach to veterans is limited, the GI Bill hotline is not staffed to serve the more than 1,000,000 eligible veterans, and vocational counseling for service members leaving the military is canceled. Maintenance has stopped at veterans’ cemeteries. VA regional offices where veterans go to get their questions answered about disability claims are closed.

This is NOT how we should be treating those who have sacrificed so much.

There are currently 2,200+ events nationwide, already exceeding the number of locations who rallied on the first No Kings Day of Action in June, with new event locations being added daily.

A source within the room relayed word that the rally "annoyed the heck out of him." ​​
