The Indivisible Georgia Coalition, in partnership with the ACLU of Georgia and other organizations, is offering the opportunity for the public to learn about and be a part of the legislative process
Marietta, GA - Indivisible Cobb, along with the Indivisible GA Coalition, is joining forces with the ACLU of Georgia and other coalition partners for a day of education and action at the Georgia State Capitol on the first day of the 2026 legislative session. At this event, participants will be engaging with lawmakers, advocating for crucial issues, and demonstrating our intention to hold our representatives accountable for their votes, especially in this crucial election year.
“Showing up matters. This is a representative government, and our elected officials can only represent our best interests if we are informed, engaged, and present. Attending events like this helps us educate ourselves about the legislation that will shape our lives—and reminds lawmakers that their constituents are paying attention,” said Stacey Parlotto, a leader of the Indivisible Cobb group. “When we take the time to learn, to ask questions, and to stand together at the Capitol, we strengthen our democracy. Our presence sends a clear message: Georgians expect transparency, accountability, and leadership that puts people first,” added Parlotto.
