Marietta, GA - Cobb County constituents of Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R, GA) gathered outside The Foxglove in Marietta and challenged the congressman for "hiding from the voters", choosing to instead host carefully controlled appearances. A source within the room relayed word that the rally "annoyed the heck out of him".

This was the fourth protest to take place this month seeking a conversation with the five-term congressman. Loudermilk has gone on record that he will not hold open town halls. Previous rallies have taken place in front of Loudermilk's office in Woodstock, during which time the congressman closed the office.

Yesterday, the protest took place outside The Foxglove event venue in Marietta. At one point Foxglove owner, Hillary Cecil, spoke to the crowd demanding they leave and threatened to call the police. Undeterred, the group reminded her they were exercising their First Amendment rights which allow for demonstrations to occur in a public place. In response, Cecil said she was calling the police and that this would be wasting tax dollars. Marietta police did arrive and, after briefly reviewing the scene, left without comment.

"The truth is our Congressional members represent ALL constituents - Republican, Democrat and Independent," said Stacey Parlotto, a leader of the Indivisible Cobb group. "Many of us have questions about the actions undertaken by this Congress and we deserve to hear from Representative Loudermilk. The latest puzzling responses regarding the Epstein files and the unique treatment of convicted child-predator Ghislaine Maxwell, has all of us concerned, regardless of party affiliation. Each week during this Congressional recess we will be going to his district office and anywhere else he is appearing to make ourselves available to him for dialogue and answers."
