Harris Brings A History of Steady Leadership and Clear-Eyed Vision for Georgia

Marietta, GA - Indivisible Cobb has officially endorsed Brigadier General (Ret.) Shawn Harris to serve as the next Congressman for GA-14. The winner of the March 10th special election will serve out the term of Marjorie Taylor Green, who resigned from Congress in January.

The 14th Congressional District stretches north to Tennessee and west to the Alabama borders and incorporates some or part of 14 counties. The district’s diverse population, and its rural and manufacturing economies require representation in Congress by a leader who understands and can advocate for the needs of and will tackle the challenges faced by all constituents.

“For the past six years, Georgia 14 has been represented in Congress by someone whose narrowly focused MAGA agenda left many of its constituents wanting more than culture war fights and ideology purity tests,” said Stacey Parlotto, a leader of the Indivisible Cobb group. “Shawn is a respected former military leader with a solid record of getting things done. As a farmer, he knows first-hand the strain many family farms in Georgia are facing.

His practical, no-nonsense approach to governance is exactly the kind of leadership the citizens of this district deserve.”
“Indivisible Cobb does the hard work of educating voters where they are and I am honored to have their support,” Shawn Harris said about the endorsement.

Early voting for the March 10th special election is now open and continues through March 6th. A list of Cobb County early voting locations and times can be found here.
