Cobb County voters have the opportunity to make their voices heard in a number of key municipal and state races

Marietta, GA - This coming Tuesday, November 4, Georgians will go to the polls where this will determine the future direction of Marietta. But it is not just Marietta! In all, six of the seven cities across Cobb County have contests on the ballot. Additionally, a state-wide race for two contested seats on the Public Service Commission (PSC), the governing board that determines utility rates and Georgia’s energy policy is also on the ballot. All voters, regardless of district, can vote in the PSC election. Early voting ends Friday.

“Indivisible Cobb will be holding this rally to remind people they need to exercise the ultimate tool of democracy available to all citizens – their vote,” said Stacey Parlotto, one of the group’s leaders. “Off-year elections have notoriously low turnout, so every vote cast can demonstrably affect the outcome. It is our duty to remind our neighbors they make a difference when they show up.”
